discovery

while relaxing on a petite porch
enveloped by may's hinting sunshine
i see the green grass on my mother's yard
i escape the porch
i place my naked feet in the grass

while standing in the blades of grass
touched by the light-breathing early afternoon
i see a smooth lane of sidewalk
i slip from the yard
i run down the sidewalk

while running down the sidewalk
indulged by saturday's leisure
i feel a breakout of small rain
i play in the rain
like children should
while i am 28 years old.

I love reading your poems. They're like a breath of fresh air.

As for playing in the rain - it sounds so freeing!

I like the rain...just as long as I don't get my hair wet.
